Having graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2004 Dr. McCollum has extensive training in Acupuncture, Oriental Diet Therapy, Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, Meditation and Taoist Psychology and Psychotherapy. He completed a year internship at the Saatcha Health Centre with Dr. Jagdeep Johal treating patients mainly suffering from mental emotional conditions. Jared has also completed a post-graduate program in Chinese Medical Gynecology under the renowned Bob Flaws. He devotes most of his time to treating patients at his thriving practice while continuing his studies in health and longevity and finding creative and innovative ways to improve his practice.

Jared has spent countless hours serving the communities he has lived in over the last 20 years, offering meditation, Qi Gong and programs he has developed which identify emotional blocks and help others let go of extreme emotions and stress. He is committed to improving the health of his patients as well as their community. As the Chair of the Sheep River Health Trust he worked with his fellow board members and community to provide the programs and equiptment that is not provided by Alberta Health Services but that are needed by the community. 

Dr. McCollum was appointed by the Minister of Health to the Acupuncture committee for Alberta Health & Wellness. The committee’s role was to create a professional college that now licenses and governs acupuncturist within the province of Alberta.

As an expert in his field Dr. McCollum has spoken tiwce at The Acugrowth Symposium, an annual meeting helping Acupuncturists from all over the world improve their practice and skills by implementing technology into their clinics.

Voted as the top Alternative Health Care Practitioner in the Western Wheel’s Best of the Foothills eleven years in a row, Jared is well respected within his community.

Dr. Matthew Rider, Dr. Ac. is a dedicated Doctor of Acupuncture with a special interest in treating chronic pain using a compassionate, holistic approach. A graduate of the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM), Dr. Rider brings a strong foundation in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, enriched by over a decade of experience in meditation and mindfulness. His treatments integrate acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and the relationship between mind and body to offer a deeply personalized and effective approach to healing.

Dr. Rider has completed specialized training with renowned practitioner Bob Doane, L.Ac, in pulse diagnosis, herbal medicine, and acupuncture techniques focused on achieving fast and lasting pain relief. This advanced training enables him to quickly identify imbalances and provide treatments that target both root causes and symptoms, helping patients quickly return to vibrant, pain-free living.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Rider enjoys hiking in the Rockies, reading thought-provoking books, and studying traditional South American medicine.

Jana has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2008, specializing in therapeutic and deep tissue massage techniques. Jana has received advanced training in Reiki, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, Reflexology, Laser Therapy, Joint Mobilization, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Therapy, Pre & Post Natal Massage, Trigger Point, and Craniosacral Therapy. Jana is also a certified 200-Hour Yoga Teacher. Jana has a unique approach to massage, using multiple techniques and modalities to help you get back to optimal health and movement.
